Basil Pesto “Quickie”  


  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts (cleaned)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. To prepare basil pesto place the basil leaves and pine nuts into a food processor and blend well. Add the garlic and Parmesan cheese and continue to mix. Slowly add the olive oil in while the processor is running, it will help to make pesto smooth and tender. Stir in some salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
