Asian designers have become more recognizable recently. They attract attention of public when they come to the most popular fashion events such as New York Fashion Week.  Many of them have come to work to the fashion capital of the world and succeeded there, others acquired fame in Asia. Here are the brightest Asian designers that impressed fashion-minded audience with their inspiring messages and gorgeous looks.

Lie Sang Bong is a Korean designer who debuted in Seoul Fashion Week in 1993. His first collection was called “The Reincarnation”. He is very creative and likes to combine things that seem to be incompatible: for instance, something traditional with innovative technique to get a really cool result that resonates with public. He also produces modern fabrics using intricate techniques. He approaches fashion as an architect, creating the geometric shape first.

In 1999 he was acknowledged the “Best Designer of the Year” in Seoul. His first international experience was positive. He brought his collection “The Lost Memoir” to Paris Fashion Week in 2002. His works are highly assessed by European, American and Russian fashion-minded people. He worked with LG, Samsung. He helped to create the design of the phone. He created design for porcelain pieces with Haengnam Porcelain Company, which are stored now at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. In 2008 Lie Sang Bong designed uniforms for the A1 Grand Prix Korean national team. A year later he worked over the exhibit for celebration of the first anniversary of the Korean Cultural Center in London. He worked even with a whiskey brand, Chivas Regal.

1OUDIFU based by Zhuliang Li, Chinese designer, made its appearance at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week last year. He came there with a daughter who also participated in the show in one of the father’s attires. The company was launched in 2006 and is based in Shanghai. It owns about 200 boutiques all over China.

The concept behind his creativity is that man is a part of nature. The lifestyle of the person should correspond to the rules of nature. This idea was clearly expressed in his collection that included designs with geometric shapes and designs that can be worn by people of any age without making them look stupid. In spite of interpretation of garments, they have feminine touch and look very impressive.

When he moved to New York, he began studying and interned for Donna Karan. His first collection was launched in 2009 and shown during New York Fashion Week. He always focused on quality and innovation and it helped him succeed. His philosophy encompasses modern luxury, style and a sense of glamour. His attires are chosen by Oprah Winfrey, Kate Middleton, Zoe Saldana, Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, Demi Moore and many others. He also launched footwear production.

TadashiShojiThe main mission of Tadashi Shoji is inclusivity. He accents the uniqueness of every woman who deserves the most comfortable and gorgeous clothes to feel confident. Tadashi Shoji is a Japanese designer, who moved to USA in the 1970-s and launched his first collection in 1983. He noticed that women do not have a big choice of clothes for special occasions and decided to change that. His brand owns over 700 stores in more than 50 countries. The designer creates clothing for women of all ages and figures. He tries his best to conceal the imperfections of figure such as ruching, draping and other tricks to accent the positives. His clothes are loved by Kate Beckinsale, Katy Perry, Dita Von Teese, Helen Mirren and others.

Her impeccable sense of style made her commercially successful. In 1993 she received “Golden Needle Award” from Korea Fashion Association. In 2005 Seoul Metropolitan acknowledged her “Designer of the Year”. Her boutiques are located in different parts of the USA: in New York, Palm Beach and other places. There are over 50 stores in South Korea. Each season she brings her collection to such fashion events as New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Who’s Next, the Parisian Trade Show.
