Marissa Mayer – Glamour in Silicon Valley

The Board room meeting is never boring with Marissa Mayer. This vibrant beautiful woman is the CEO of Yahoo, one of the only women heading a tech giant. According to San Francisco Chronicle «she earns lots of points for her leadership skills, business vision and for her impeccable sense for fashion». Marisa is tech savvy; she is admired for her intelligence, high energy and professionalism. She claimed a corporate ladder at Google where she served as a vice president and rose to a big success in Silicon Valley when Yahoo made her the youngest women to achieve a CEO position to lead a corporation of that size.

Marisa has made a storm in the media by wearing couture gowns and making statements like: «For women, you never have enough excuses to wear great shoes». A few years back she said to Wall Street Journal: «I think that you should pick a fashionable piece that has some flair some interesting colour or detail and then pair it with more basic separates.»

marissa_mayer-2Marisa ultimately is the most stylish Silicon Valley representative; she wears high hills and appreciates high end fashion brands like Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta. It separates her from the colleagues who made flip flops and hoodies a trademark of Silicon Valley boardrooms. She is not afraid to give a few style tips: «Our country in particular and the whole world has a real challenge in bringing more women into engineering and technical fields. It’s good to show that you don’t need to sacrifice your sense of femininity because you are engineer.» Mayer told the LA Times.

Vanity Fair’s included Marisa Mayer in the Best Dressed Poll among Hollywood celebrities and royals like Kate Middleton. Beautiful, smart and wealthy CEO is not shy about her her love for fashion, she openly favours Proenza Schouler, Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci and Jonathan Saunders. And here are my favourite looks:
